Meet Michael Hixon Growing up in Southern California with my parents, two brothers and a station wagon, I guess you would have referred to the Hixon family as a camping family. Always on the go up and down the California coast experiencing new campgrounds along the way. Then Easter weekend in 1964 the Hixon family set out on a new adventure, a camping trip on the Colorado River in Parker AZ. That weekend my parents purchased a vacant lot and soon after, added a mobile home and shed to the property. The station wagon only went one way after that weekend to the Colorado River, the Hixon's new vacation home. The rest is history and a life filled with wonderful memories. My father's true passion was fishing so we did a lot of fishing, the River, Lake Havasu, and the irrigation canals on the indian reservation. Our father always referred to this area as "God's Country". My brothers and I all learned to water ski and became quite good, as this was our passion. When it was too cold to water ski, the dirt bikes came out as our winter sport. I have shared the River life with my children, and now my grandchildren, you see once you get the River in your blood, I believe it becomes hereditary. Life here has so much to offer, fresh air, blue skies, beautiful sunsets, fishing, boating, watersports, off road activities, hiking, golf, or gambling in one of Laughlin, Nevada's riverfront casinos (just across the river). My wife Kathy and I, with our two dogs Laci and Molly have enjoyed living in the Bullhead City area full time since 1993. I would love to help you and your family start building your own memories. Once your home is listed for sale, it may be difficult for you to step aside and let your agent take over. When prospective buyers arrive, you may want to stand by to point out the closet extenders, the hidden spice cabinet behind the kitchen door, the energy-saving storm windows or the updated copper plumbing. If you really want to help, however, you will leave the house whenever it is being shown!
We have found that the sales process does not really begin until buyers have begun to voice their objections about a property. Sometimes these concerns are serious enough to remove your house from consideration. Often, however, people voice objections as an automatic response when they really love the house and want to buy it. Real estate professionals are trained to know the difference.
If a seller is standing at the agent's elbow, the buyer won't be comfortable enough to allow the process of raising objections take place. If the buyer feels intimidated or suppressed, we could lose the sale. The best way to help is to give your real estate agent room to make the sale.
